Conversation with Poet Traci Brimhall Online
Join Traci Brimhall, Kansas Poet Laureate, for a unique look at poets, past and present, that embody ad astra per aspera – to the stars through difficulties. Then discover how you too can tell a story through poetry.
Traci Brimhall is an award-winning poet and author of five poetry collections, most recently "Love Prodigal" (2024). Her poems appear in numerous publications including The New Yorker, The Nation and Best American Poetry.
Brimhall’s writing and research have been supported by fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts, the Academy of American Poets, the National Park Service, and Purdue University, where she studied the lost poem drafts of Amelia Earhart. A professor of creative writing at Kansas State University, she is currently the poet-in-residence at the Guggenheim Museum, she also serves as Poet Laureate of the State of Kansas.
