DESCRIPTION:Explore one of the most dramatic environmental crises in 
 American history. Dr. Antle looks at how the Dust Bowl reshaped Kansas\, 
 the people who lived through it\, and the land itself. He reveals why the 
 Dust Bowl matters nearly 100 years later.\n\nDr. Jay Antle’s passion for 
 the environment was sparked during a transformative field course in 
 Yellowstone National Park. He earned his Ph.D. in American Environmental 
 History from the University of Kansas and has taught at Johnson County 
 Community College (JCCC) since 2000\, where he is also the Executive 
 Director of the Sustainability Center. Antle is a five-time JCCC 
 Distinguished Service Award recipient and former Chair of the Association 
 for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education Board. Outside 
 the classroom\, he’s an accomplished distance runner\, avid hiker and 
 storm chaser
