CSL in Session - Seeing the Unseen; Raising the Visibility of Equity Work (Colorado State Library) Online

This session will examine how we can design makerspaces with equity in mind. We'll share the results of a photo survey conducted at the ideaLABs at Denver Public Library and Clubhouse Network community centers, which revealed how decisions big and small, from the layout of a room to the labels on a container, can affect our ability to engage patrons in a makerspace setting equitably. We will share our photo survey method and invite you to capture and share your own photos.
